The Master Classes are aimed at encouraging a strong entrepreneurial culture within the local borough of Barking and Dagenham. An entrepreneur (a loanword from French) is a person who undertakes and operates a new enterprise or venture. Our courses are tailored to supporting new and growing businesses and provide workshops on business management skills, access to mentors, knowledge, tools and networks.
To have a sucessful business - it is important to have an understanding of the financial implications behind a new and original idea. This is essential on the road to launching a new business and gaining skills to grow your existing business. There are lots of ways financial ideas can be expressed on paper. Our master classes are interactive workshops which are designed enable application to any given business idea.
The Master Classes courses have been specifically designed in response to the needs and wants of new business start up and young entrepreneur in the borough.
Master classes will be running every Saturday through out the month of March 2012:
Saturday 3rd March 2012 - Master Class on Mind Mapping
Start Mind Mapping and create your idea. Great ideas are formed by people who aren’t satisfied with how things are now…they want to improve and innovate. So don’t sit around waiting for inspiration to strike!
Saturday 10th March 2012 - Master Class on Money Matters
First-time entrepreneurs can sometimes find it very difficult to get their heads around money. A good way to approach Money Matters is to present your ideas by comparing them to real-life businesses; this ensures that your idea is wholly realistic.
Saturday 18th March 2012 - Master Class on How to sell
Learn about the first steppingstones to business success: building a rapport with others and persuading them to buy your products or services.
Saturday 24th March 2012 - Master Class on Making a start in Finance and Investment
The session will address unique problems around the complex challenges faced with obtaining loans for SME. Engaging with leading Retail Banks to provide reading material and promotional packages would provide visible support in the area of Barking and Dagenham.
Class sizes are kept small so that you can take full advantage of the practical, hands-on learning we provide. Ensuring the support, information and advice provided to businesses is fit for the 21st Century.
